Dosage/Direction for Use
Canesten 0.1-g vag tab 1 vag tab inserted into the vag using the applicator, preferably before going to sleep, on 6 consecutive nights, or 2 vag tab before going to sleep for 3 consecutive nights. Canesten 1 0.5-g vag tab 1 vag tab inserted into the vag using the applicator, preferably administered before going to sleep at night.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Do not use during menstrual period.
Special Precautions
Should not be put in the mouth or swallowed. May reduce effectiveness of rubber contraceptives eg, condoms or diaphragms. Do not concomitantly use w/ tampons, intravaginal douches, spermicides or other vag products. Avoid vag intercourse during treatment. Can be used during pregnancy & breastfeeding.
Adverse Reactions
Itching, rash, swelling, redness, discomfort, burning, irritation, vag peeling, discharge or bleeding; pain (eg, abdominal pain, vulvovaginal pain); nausea; swallowing or breathing problems; weakness, feeling dizzy or faint.
